B’nai Mitzvah
A Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremony is a significant life cycle event celebrating an educational accomplishment, family commitment, and the assumption of personal responsibility.
At Temple Israel of Hollywood, this celebration is a step toward lifelong learning that we acknowledge and rejoice.
The entire family works together with our clergy and highly skilled teaching staff in the Bar/Bat Mitzvah preparatory progress, service, and celebration.

Preparation for the ceremony requires three consecutive years of Religious School or Briskin Elementary School before the Bar/Bat Mitzvah year. Every child of a TIOH member family is eligible to become a Bar/Bat Mitzvah through a ceremony and service any time after their thirteenth birthday.
To learn more about the Bar/Bat Mitzvah process or to discuss requirements, please contact Deanne Kaner at dkaner@tioh.org or call 323-876-8330 x1000.
