It is an honor to serve on the Temple Israel of Hollywood Board of Trustees. My wife Liz Gottainer-Sadkin and I have been TIOH members since 2007. Our two children, Brandon and Blake, are graduates of the Nursery School and now attend the Day School. Like many members, we joined TIOH as a young family and were immediately embraced by the community. Over the past decade, we have gone through a number of lifecycle events – births, deaths, illness, and celebrations – and TIOH has been central throughout. It is therefore with great pleasure that we have tried to give back to the TIOH community. I currently serve as a member of the Finance Committee and a founding member of the Endowment Now project, which is working to raise a multi-million dollar endowment to ensure TIOH’s financial strength for future generations. Professionally, I am a senior vice president at Bel Air Investment Advisors, one of the most prominent independent wealth management firms in Los Angeles, where I am responsible for advising families, endowments, and foundations. I also serve on the firm’s Investment and Management Committees. Prior to joining Bel Air, I was senior counsel to U.S. Representative Henry Waxman and the House Government Reform Committee in Washington D.C. I am a graduate of the University of Illinois and Harvard Law School, and a member of the California Bar. Liz, who is a real estate agent and developer, and I are originally from Chicago and remain avid Cubs, Bears, Bulls, and Blackhawk fans. We are committed to making TIOH a place that we can all call home.
