Pirkei Avot

May 15 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating until June 5, 2024

There is a tradition to study Pirkei Avot – The Ethics of the Sages between Pesach and Shavuot. In our 12th year, we will use many new texts and commentaries.David Aaronson and Mystery Guest Leader(s) will co-lead the study with several translations, ancient and modern commentary, and plenty of interesting discussions. If you do not have a copy of the text, we suggest that you purchase: Pirkei Avot: A Modern Commentary on Jewish Ethics by Kravitz and Olitzky or any other version of this book, which is the most widely published and read tractate of Talmud. You can also use the text provided by sefaria.org.
