Film Circle: Blancanieves

The TIOH Film Circle is very excited to present a screening of the visually stunning and unique Spanish film, Blancanieves, alongside tapas and sangria for a taste of Spain.
This film is a modern (2012) black & white, silent film reinterpretation of Snow White set in 1920s Andalusia. Blancanieves was also Spain’s Academy Awards official submission for Best Foreign Language Film for 2012.
We will have an introduction and post-film commentary/Q&A by our own Larry Garf. Larry is an enthusiast/expert/accompanist on U.S. silent films and he will be our “docent” as we explore the genre and this “love letter to European silent cinema”. For many of us, Larry was also the amazing art teacher our kids all loved at TIOH’s Briskin Day School.
