Welcome to Kabbalat Shabbat with special guest speaker Rabbi Julie Saxe-Taller from the Religious Action Center.
Rabbi Julie Saxe Taller is the Lead Organizer for RAC-CA, the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism for California. RAC-CA is the statewide social justice agent of the URJ, and represents 100 reform congregations across California. RAC-CA works on a non-partisan basis to advance Jewish values in the public sphere, and advocates for statewide policies to address systemic injustices, particularly those disproportionately impacting disenfranchised communities. Rabbi Saxe-Taller is leading the Southern California RAC-CA Regional Gathering at TIOH on Sunday, March 26, from 10:30-2:30. Come to the gathering for inspiration, community and connection. Learn about RAC-CA’s Climate Tzedek campaign on clean energy, help shape the campaign plans for 2023, share experiences and ideas for organizing in our communities (on climate and other issues we care about), and be a part of building a religious movement in pursuit of Climate Justice.
