Temple Israel of Hollywood Privacy Policy
The privacy of our congregants and supporters is of the utmost importance to Temple Israel of Hollywood (TIOH). The following describes our commitment and the protocols we maintain in order to respect and protect the privacy of personal information provided to our Temple and our current practices regarding the dissemination of information gathered from congregants. This privacy statement may be changed at any time; if any changes are made, they will be posted to the TIOH website where a copy of the policy can always be found. We expect congregants, families, students, employees, vendors, supporters and anyone associated with TIOH to honor these policies.
Collection of Personal Information about Our Congregants
TIOH will keep confidential all personal information it collects or receives about every member of our community, including names, ages, occupations, addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, payment histories, school enrollment information where applicable, credit card information, family yahrzeit dates, and fundraising commitments. TIOH will inform you of the purpose for its collection at the time any such information is requested.
Information about your computer may also be automatically collected by TIOH. This information can include: your internet protocol (IP) address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring web site addresses (URLs). This information is used by TIOH for the operation of its web site, to maintain quality of its web site, and to provide general statistics regarding use of its web site.
Use of Personal Information
If you choose to provide us with your personal information, this information will only be used for official TIOH purposes. Anyone who has access to this information is specifically prohibited from using it for any purpose other than as directed by TIOH. TIOH does not intend to transfer or otherwise share your personal information with any third parties without your consent, except under the limited conditions described below.

If you supply us with your postal address and/or email address, you may receive periodic mailings from us with information on news, services, tickets, statements or upcoming events. TIOH will provide you with the opportunity to opt out of receipt of these communications. TIOH is fully committed to data security. We have put in place physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information you provide to us. TIOH abides by California and federal consumer protection laws.

If you provide your personal information to us, we commit that we will not trade, sell, rent, lease, or otherwise share your information with others, or let others use it except if you have authorized its use or as provided herein.
In addition to our memberships in ARZA and the URJ, TIOH makes certain specific information about our members, including lists of our members’ names, phone numbers, postal addresses or e-mail addresses, available to specific third party vendors who work on TIOH’s behalf.
Please be aware that TIOH contracts with outside providers for the maintenance of our email electronic newsletters, online payment forms, and securely storing Member information. These providers may use “cookies” or other means to collect personal information about visitors to our website in order to facilitate these communications.
