A Psychological Approach to Judaism: Study Mussar with Rabbi Michelle Missaghieh

Rabbi Michelle Missaghieh invites you to join her for a 6-part series to study Mussar.
What does it mean to study Mussar?
It invites us to study character traits (middot) such as humility, anger, gratitude, trust, and honor (to name a few) through a Jewish lens. Then through self-reflection, personal journaling, and focused exercises, each student of Mussar sets their own curriculum of how to use these traits in our lives.
Mussar is accessible to all people, regardless of age, gender, or level of Jewish knowledge. The only criteria for participation in Mussar are that the person should have had some experience of the human condition and should have a desire to grow spiritually.
We will gather weekly for 1.5 hours to work as a group and in chevrutah (pairs of two) to process our learning. In addition, partners will also meet in-between sessions for continued study to reflect on your development. I ask that you commit to all 6 sessions, to ensure deep work and cohesion.
