It’s Complicated: Love and Relationships in the Month of Elul

September 8 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

The month of Elul has become associated with love because it forms an acronym for a phrase in the Song of Songs: “I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine.” But a closer look at the context in which that phrase appears reveals that the love described in the Song of Songs is not a simple one. We will take a tour through that book and consider some of the complicated metaphors it offers for our relationships with God and each other – and how we might work on them during this month of love.

Join TIOH Rabbi Michelle Missaghieh along with guest teacher Rabbi David Kasher for this evening of exploration.

Sunday, September 8
5:00 – 7:00 PM
Private residence, address will be provided to TIOH members who RSVP
