A Conversation with Israeli and Palestinian Peacebuilders

On the evening of Monday, March 3, Ikar will welcome Maoz Inon and Aziz Abu Sarah, Israeli and Palestinian leaders at the forefront of a burgeoning new peace movement. In conversation with Rabbi Sharon Brous, they will share their personal journeys and lift up a vision for a shared society.

Both Maoz and Aziz are bereaved. Maoz’s parents were murdered by Hamas on October 7, 2023, and Aziz’s older brother died in an Israeli prison when he was 19 years old. (Aziz was 10 years old at the time.) In the face of unimaginable loss, they have dedicated their lives to peacemaking, traveling the world together to inspire a discourse that insists on humanity, justice, and hope for a future beyond endless cycles of violence.

This conversation, moderated by Rabbi Brous, will be a rare and powerful opportunity to hear from two of the most courageous voices mobilizing Israelis and Palestinians toward peace. We hope you’ll join us in showing up, listening deeply, and supporting their work.
