Yom HaShoah Commemoration

Documentary filmmaker Pierre Sauvage will discuss A Year That Mattered—Varian Fry, Mary Jayne Gold, and Other Americans Who Cared, Marseille, 1940-41, also showing some clips from his upcoming documentary about the extraordinary Varian Fry rescue mission. Sauvage himself is a child survivor who was born and sheltered in the Christian oasis of Le Chambon, France, as he recounted in the acclaimed documentary Weapons of the Spirit.
We will also dedicate the new menorah, commissioned by an Israeli artist Sara Ben Yosef donated by Susan Weil and Anatole Klebanow.
