Invertigo Dance Theatre: The Kitchen Table Project — A Time To Gather
May 25, 2022 @ 7:30 pm - May 28, 2022 @ 7:30 pm
“Poetic flights of fancy . . . a whimsical display of turning torsos, lyrical lifts, and statuesque stances.” –Los Angeles Times
Raise a glass to life and community this May at the premiere of Invertigo Dance Theatre’s newest dance theatre piece The Kitchen Table Project: A Time To Gather. Known for wild-bodied dance and vibrant storytelling, Invertigo pays tribute to the kitchen table as a site of lineage, connection, and now as our office, a place for virtual learning, and Zoom parties when we would give anything to be in the same room together. Commissioned by Temple Israel of Hollywood, this site-specific performance features three gifted performers and gathers us together to share stories, acknowledge what we have lost during the pandemic, and vigorously celebrate all we have to be grateful for.
Held in TIOH’s Goodman Courtyard and Miller Hall, the performance will run approximately one hour, and be immediately followed by a reception with the artists and your fellow audience members.
“Invertigo Dance Theatre has made a name for itself by redefining how people experience dance.” –Culture Spot LA
