Jung asked Baeck\, who he had known prior to World War II\, to forgive him the Nazi sympathies he had expressed during the 1930s and requested that Baeck address a spiritual conference that Jung was convening. Six of Baeck’s siblings were killed in concentration camps by the Nazis\, and his community had been destroyed. The famed Hebrew University scholar Gershom Scholem provided an account of the meeting between Baeck and Jung\, and\, in the end\, Baeck did speak at the conference. We will consider how the exchange between the two men might inform our own understanding of and approach to\, if not forgiveness\, then reconciliation. \nTuesdays with Mari\nTuesday\, January 25\, 2022\n7:00 pm\nJoin us via Zoom\nMeeting ID: 952 3461 2802\nPasscode: 727789 URL:https://tioh.org/event/tuesdays-with-mari-2022-01-25/ CATEGORIES:Adult Learning ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/jpeg:https://tioh.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Tuesdays-with-Mari.jpg END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20220127 DTEND;VALUE=DATE:20220228 DTSTAMP:20240328T190027 CREATED:20220107T220240Z LAST-MODIFIED:20220127T230258Z UID:9401-1643241600-1646006399@tioh.org SUMMARY:Artist-in-Residence: Rachael Cerrotti DESCRIPTION:TIOH Arts & Culture’s first artist-in-residence Rachael Cerrotti is an award-winning author\, photographer\, educator\, audio producer\, and the inaugural Storyteller in Residence for USC Shoah Foundation.
