This week’s Torah portion, B’shalach, includes the “Song of the Sea,” the epic poem that describes how Moses parted the sea.
Together, we will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first woman ordained as a cantor and 50 years of women in the cantorate. Cantorial Soloist & Music Director Shelly Fox and a group of TIOH teens with lead singing during services and we will also be joined by Cantor Emerita Aviva Rosenbloom, the first woman ordained as a cantor in Los Angeles, who will sing a special song.
Women of TIOH is sponsoring the oneg after services.
