Border Trip to Arizona
October 24 - October 26
This is the rescheduled 2025 trip! Travel with Rabbi Mari Chernow and Tzedek America to the southern border. Visit Phoenix, Tucson, and Nogales, Arizona, on this immigration justice program. We will meet with organizations and people directly affected and enforcing the flow of migrants from the United States to Mexico.
Sample Arizona Itinerary:
- Meet with USEE (Undocumented Students for Education Equity) to learn about their advocacy for equitable access to education at ASU.
- Meet with government representatives.
- Visit the border in Nogales.
- Meet with a retired Border Patrol agent.
- Engage with asylum seekers and DACA recipients.
- Meet with Rabbi Shmuly from Arizona Jews for Justice.
- Participate in a desert migrant walk with the Samaritans.
- Dine at local, traditional, and family/immigrant-owned restaurants.
- Visit an immigrant welcome center and explore potential volunteer opportunities.
- Meet with an ICE agent.
- Connect with humanitarians, activists, attorneys, and experts.
Weekend of Friday, October 24 – Sunday, October 26
Please note that this trip is for anyone age 15+ and will be $1,600 per person.
